Nature vs Passion: Capturing Volcanoes In Action

Daredevil captures the volatile majesty of lava-spitting volcanoes up close

I found this too cool not to share. Iceland’s Skarphedinn Thrainsson has a passion for taking pictures of erupting volcanoes even if it means risking his life. He follows volcanic activity both from his native country and internationally. The result is breathtaking views of a highly violent nature, struggling against all it’s forces (wind, lightning, ashes, fire and lava). A deadly combination.
Yet people like Skarphedinn see the beauty in nature’s fight and go chasing after it. The adrenaline of the experience must be so addictive, after all one could die while capturing an erupting volcano.

PS: Iceland is AMAZING!!
